Many thanks, Stention, for stopping by to comment on the 'Misa' image. Just trying to think outside the box. Shot the subject as she was leaving the library through the revolving door. Snapped a number of folks entering & exiting and this one was the best. Glad you liked it !
 Simon Barker said:April 2nd, 2012 (2:50pm) PDT
Stention, thanks for the comments on "Drop of Doom". That was such an unreal day. It was so freaky, and after jumping on the snake I should have realised that things were going to get worse. My feet are still a wreck and later this year I'm going in for more major surgery on my back....a spinal fusion. One day I'll learn my lesson. Thanks again

Thanks for your comments on the Old Railroad Bridge image. There is actually a decent walkway to the right, you just can't see it in the photo. Not that far a walk either. What's more interesting is walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, you are 'sky high' in the air...lol.

Thank you, Stention, for stopping by to visit. I always enjoy your comments, especially the one about 'seeing the world at that low angle but not with a camera.' That cracked me up pretty good !

Haha, Medway towns! I don't see a photographer lasting long there. Funny, I could have sworn some of the characters in your photos would fit in there!
 Stention House said:March 16th, 2012 (9:59am) PDT
@everyone who has commented, voted and such - many thanks indeed. 72dpi is growing nicely and we have the beginnings of a really good community of snappers here. Plus the occasional lunatic, of course, but it wouldn't be right not to have the odd troll, megalomaniac and know all here and there ;)
 Stention House said:March 16th, 2012 (9:56am) PDT
@Juan, that guy had the look about him of someone used to an orderly way of life.
 Stention House said:March 16th, 2012 (9:54am) PDT
I'm from Longford, Rep Ireland originally. Moved to Medway when I was 7 - primarily to get away from the Troubles. Chatham town centre on a Saturday night makes the Falls Road look like a place of serene tranquility ;)
 John Kortland said:March 16th, 2012 (8:16am) PDT
Thanks for all your comments and views Sten, always much appreciated and enjoyed. Nice to see a lot of b&w work here, that was all I did in the darkroom days, and loved every minute of it. Have a good weekend with your camera.

Appreciate your comment on the 'Blue Lady' pic, Stention.
  said:March 16th, 2012 (1:14am) PDT
Thanks for your comment!! The man in the shot (as far as I know) was a highly qualified technician involved in a serious accident. He lost his mind and never recover, leaving work, family... By the way, great set of shots!!
 Simon Barker said:March 16th, 2012 (1:06am) PDT
Thought you'd think that way about the Pentagon. I hate the place, something to do with eau d'urine in the lifts. I grew up in Rochester. Dad is from Gillingham and along with my brothers is very much involved with Gillingham Anchorians rugby club. Small world indeed.
 Stention House said:March 16th, 2012 (12:52am) PDT
I rarely snap in Medway...it's the arse end of the world. Hahahaha. I expect I'd last about 15 seconds if I snapped the Pentagon chavs before having to run for my life ;) I try to avoid passing through Chatham at all if possible. The glory days of third tier football are behind Gillingham now ;) Cas and Steve Bruce are just fading memories. Though it's rather apt that the owner's surname is an alternative word for 'chav' lol
 Simon Barker said:March 16th, 2012 (12:23am) PDT
I was looking through you work, hoping to see some shots of the chavs hanging about outside The Pentagon, the crown jewels of shopping centres. Ah the good old days of standing at Priestfield stadium or running around Sharpes Green. Now all I have are the Canadian Rockies, and there's not too many chavs there. Just plenty of Japanese tourists. Love your work. Keep on sharing, I'll probably spot some of my relatives in there! Cheers, Simon
 Stention House said:March 15th, 2012 (1:05pm) PDT
People always say 'no offense' just before mortally offending you and stamping your style of photography into the dirt and dancing all over it while singing hallelujah ;)
 Dayne Reast said:March 15th, 2012 (12:38pm) PDT
Stention. I like the sense of humour in your photos and comments in the opinions section. While I don't really go for your style of photography (no offense), I can see myself laughing just like your profile picture! I see your profile lists Gillingham as your location. I used to live there myself many years ago.

Your visits and comments are always highly prized, Stention.....in particular your comment on the 'swirling' photo leads me to surmise that you might have had a 'hippy' interlude in the past. I, myself, was seduced by 'flower power' back in the day !
