Hey Miss Tonya! Hope you had a good time in Yosemite... sorry I couldn't come along too. Had just been there 2 weeks prior, and wanted to give someone else a shot at teachin' ;) Hope all is well, and hope to see you soon! Ellie

Sorry, just to address the matter of voting very eloquently. I've read all of the opinion discussions and at times don't know whether to laugh or cry. I think everyone there at 72dpi and Aperture has done a fantastic job. The workshops have really helped me develope and there have been so many excellent portfolios on 72dpi to learn from. Thanks for all the work that you guys do. Simon.

Tonya, giggly is good! Don't you think that some people take this "photography stuff" way to seriously at times. I'm glad that my good friend, the owl, put a smile on your face. He made a very good subject for me. Thanks for taking a look through my photos; your comments are very much appreciated. Cheers, Simon By the way, I love the philosophy that you have written in your bio. It addresses matters very well and goes back to what I mentioned about taking things too seriously.

I know what you mean about rain at the end of August in Alaska ! I ran into the same around the very same time period during an Alaska cruise not too long ago.

I have fallen in love with photography! Seriously..I have. I look at the photographs on 72dpi and I can't wait until I can capture even 1 shot as great as some of the beautiful artwork I see here.

I do comment and I do vote. I enjoy participating. I know voting is subjective. For me, I rate a photograph on how it moves me. I don't posses the skill set that some of you may but I do know what hit's my WOW meter.

I only vote a 10 if I want to share this picture with my friends/family and your are now on my snaplist.

I will never vote below a 6...Momma always says if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all....and from a technical viewpoint I don't know what I'm talking about yet...I only know what I feel.

I also look to see what level of skill set the photographer posses and I try to vote accordingly.

I am very open to suggestions and direction. I won't get my feelings hurt as long as your not a jerk about it. :0) I look forward to what you all have to teach me.
