Hi Christie, She wasn't even sure that she got bit because I guess it happened so fast and maybe the fang was very needle-like. But later in the day she started feeling a little weird and the next day her ankle was swollen that's when she realized so she really lucked out! She never even went to the hospital.

Hi Christie - the location of the image is a ranch and these are pasture fences dividing smaller areas for when there is a need to seperate the livestock. I was wandering dirt roads that day - something I love to do because there never fails to be something of interest on rural back roads. I also enjoy chatting with the ranchers and folks I come across, often picking up interesting bits of history, or the 'you need to go 4 more miles up the road cuz there's a(whatever)you should see' :)

Christie, the injured deer in the photo was around that lake for at least 3 days. I made so many phone calls and couldn't get anybody to do anything. I finally called the landlord for East Point Business Park (I was working for a company in the park at the time) and I have to believe that they took care of the animal. I'd suspect that somebody had to put it to death. Indeed sad, but there are so many deer trying to coexist with humans...humans always win in the end. Jim

Hey Christie, after the shock of the 500px changes I thought I would follow the crowd over here to 72dpi too. They have since fixed several of my main concerns but not all.

It is good to see familiar faces. I hope they address the issue that seemed to breed so much discontent on 500 and the reason many of us are here. I will enjoy the opportunity to see your work again. I plan on trying to balance on the tightrope for a while until I see where this site goes. It seems the "6" is the "dislike" button here. You don't have to vote on mine...but comments are always appreciated. I ain't the biggest fish in the stream....I just want to "swim".:)

Thanks for the response on my 6 image, Christie. There are many aspects of this site I like. Generally the interface works well - simple, intuitive, no thinking required. Hopefully they address the rating issue.

Hello my friend!
I'm Albert Homs and as I've had problems in the computer and now I can not go to the user I created (we were friends), I had to create this new user!

I see you have deleted your photos from the other place. I'll likely do the same thing. It's certainly rewarding to see you and other friends here - kind of takes the sting off.
