What a change from today...still wish I had that old Ricoh rangefinder, it served me very well !

Hello John, and thanks for your recent comments. It's funny you mentioned I talked to the animals when the same day you posted that comment I did. A stork was at the edge of the lake and I start talking to him, invite him to come out of the water and he did, and then he sat at the base of my tree just about a yard from me and we was my company for a little while. Never happened to me before. Amazing! :)) Lorenzo

John, I am glad you liked my "Geometric" presentation. Appreciate your nice comment & observation. As for the cloud, you are right, it bothered me too but not so much after converting it to monochrome. What you've suggested seems to be a Photoshop work, but I don't own it. All of my images are enhanced slightly with a free-ware that's not even an editor, it's just a picture viewer with limited editor capabilities. Thank you! Lorenzo

Thanks for the comment John. Actually worker safety is extremely important and it's much safer than it looks. All equipment and connections are significantly over engineered. The labor unions are very strong and control worker conditions quite well. I've missed you. Glad you're back.

Thanks for your visits to my page. Your feedback and comments are very much appreciated. BTW Unfortunately I have no shots including the chimneys on my "The Lodge" shot. They were taken over a year ago when I started out. I don't work there any more but I plan to make a few visits so I will be able to make a much better job of photographing the building.

My gratitude, John for your recent visit and gracious comment. I do like to explore different genres...helps me to expand my sensibilities to the various aspects of our art. Everyone brings something different to the table and I like to sample all the delicious presentations such as yours. I often try to emulate these recipes. Though the results may not be as tasty, the process can be a lot of fun !

Hello John, thank you for your comments to my images. Always a pleasure. As how "Symphony" was done, with slow speed, low ISO, small aperture, great light source, lots of patience, and sometimes the reward comes from a couple of trials, or a hundred. Good luck! Lorenzo

Hi John, Thanks for your comments on "Working Bees". I adjusted the crop to a single bee but it didn't quite work for me. Having said that I tightened the crop to reduce the background and increased the size of the focussed bee. It seems to work better.

Thank you again John for our support and comments. Yes sir, Bird of Paradise at Universal Studios in Orlando. We spent last week there and with all of the places one might suspect for great photo ops I was most captivated by the flowers at Universal Studios. I sort of expected it to be Disney but the Green Thumb people really seem to be working at Universal.

Thank you, John, for commenting on that 'abstract' shot. I agree with Oz & you both about that white sky.....should have cropped it by 50% which would have produced a better pic. These constructive suggestions only serve to help and are very appreciated.
 Michael del Pilar said:April 5th, 2012 (8:10am) PDT
Your recent visit and two comments are appreciated, John. My roommate is taking welding classes so we could make a set of those pipes but I figure with my income I'll just buy a couple outright ! You're right about 'Misa'...no enigmatic smile, I guess the beer I gave her to pose wasn't enough !

Thanks, John, for stopping by & commenting on a couple of my pics.....you're right about the top of that arch. That analysis alone has made me realize that I need to improve my clarity while composing a shot. The feedback I get from photographers like you, whom I respect so much, is invaluable. Much appreciation, my friend !

Both you & Mauro had the same astute observation about the sky in my 'sculpture' photo and I concur with you both. I paid too much attenton on the bottom 2/3 & got careless on the 'ceiling' part. But that's one of the reasons why I like this site so much.....I'm able to receive constructive feedback & excellent advice & it's all free! Candid comments only help to improve my game & make me appreciate friends like you. Many thanks, John. (Glad you liked the 'dancer' shot)

Many thanks for your visit and comment to my post "cooments please". I've several shots of that mandarin duck. Re the girl with tats, I don't think they were put there for any man, if you get my drift? ;-)
 Michael del Pilar said:March 16th, 2012 (7:26am) PDT
Thank you, John, for your comments & insights. Regarding the 'Polynesian' shots, both you & Dave were correct about the lack of a sharply focused center plane. The setting is a large college gyn with low lighting, often with a red cast. These conditions prove challenging, especially hand held. Appreciate your comment on the 'Blue Lady', managed to get her a little more in focus. Really appreciate your feedback.
 LovelyJubblyOz said:March 13th, 2012 (10:47pm) PDT
Thanks for your recent visits and comments, John. I'm afraid I couldn't do anything about the girl with tats in two girlfriends. Unfortunately I don't think they were put there for my pleasure ;-)

John, I think you misunderstood me re Twitter, I was hinting that you should be there.
 Michael del Pilar said:March 13th, 2012 (8:32am) PDT
John, you & Dave(Jubbly) are absolutely right about that 'mornning view' photo. I actually had it processed the way the two of you suggested but for some reason started fiddlin' with it & messed it up. It's nice to have friends to set you straight. Thank you for your comment on my 'IOU" shot. Your observations mean a lot. Really like your gallery by the way.

I have been a photographer for over 30 years, making the change from film to digital about 6 years ago, being retired I get the opportunity to get out and take photographs at least once a week, I take mostly street photographs, usually on the streets of London, the greatest City in the world and hosts of the 2012 Olympic Games. I photograph the characters and people that make up that wonderful city, and even after 59 years living there they never fail to amuse and surprise me.
