Hi Mark, really appreciate your all your recent comments and encouragement. That one "Elk" shot was not as close as it seemed. I used a compact camera that had a 3X zoom which probably put me about 10 feet away but not 2 feet. Still it was pretty exciting and a vivid memory(even got a short video clip).

It's funny to see you describe yourself an opportunist by taking shots and then seeing what you can make of them, because that's MY modus operandi! I think the very first thing I figured out about myself after coming to 72dpi was that I was working MUCH too hard on photographs in post trying to get them to what I wanted them to be rather than working harder in the beginning to TAKE the photo I wanted. I'm not there yet but I do see slight improvements sometimes. We ARE our own worst critics!

Thanks Mark. It is a magical place, when you are there you forget about everything and just soak up the atmosphere.

Hi Mark...didn't have enough space to finish my reply to your comment.....I was experimenting with long shutter speeds and camera movement. While perusing through that album a few nights ago, I cam across this pic for the first time. I was amazed that I hadn't noticed it before. They say ignorance is "bliss"...I guess that night I was just "blissed" !

Hi Mark! Thank you for your prior comments and the recent one as well. That shot of the flag is very special for me, not only for the flag and the meaning, the blur came out really nice. Thank you! Lorenzo

Mark, thank you for your comment to "Awaiting." When I stepped on that beach I knew would be a wonderful day for me since it had thousands of birds flying everywhere. You said "surreal" and think is more than appropriate. Appreciated! Lorenzo

Hi Mark, in reply to your question about my image of the Murano torso - yes, that was just natural light. The image is unenhanced. It was a sunny morning, so the play of light was incredible. Each frame I shot produced different light intensity.

You timed the moment well - each person shows a different reaction. I'm meticulous about keeping a car clean, so I understand the timing here. Welcome, Mark. Sursum Corda, my friend.

Have loved photography since I was a kid. My aim is to create beautiful images (so I'm not terribly concerned how much I tweak it in post). My photographs tend to cover a wide spectrum of subject matter but, for those I post here, I'm hopeful I can post those that reflect intimacy & humour in human relationships. With any luck I'll find those & take a few worth posting!
