Pat...I've never wanted to get that far away from things!! (smile). I seem to be "approachable" well as financially challenged. My wife have this agreement that if I buy a "toy"...she gets a "toy" of equal value. I therefore am not an "economic stimulus". (smile)

Pat, I'm just looking through your portfolio for the first time. I'm sure you've heard this plenty of times, but your work is stunning. It is very inspirational for someone such as myself, who hasn't been seriously into photography for too long, and is trying to become better. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to looking at the images more closely. Simon

nr. 3... ...but adjusting leads us not out from this behavior... it just engaged us.
 Johann Scheiber said:March 4th, 2012 (12:10am) PST
the serious and basic problem in this matter is, in my opinion, that we live in the 21th century in a more ore less virtual world...anything goes and we have do deal with milliards of possibilities ”just in time” (as we do here) but we act, by yesterdays education and cultural circumstances, as in the 19th century with tools from that time… higher, faster, stronger, more, aso… as long as we exist in that sort ”intellectual world” we can invest all our power to adjust systems...
Johann Scheiber said:March 4th, 2012 (12:08am) PST again I totally agree with your ”voting performance”... the same problem I have... whats the difference between 9 and 10? Tel you some thougts I posted before in this matter... (see following comment)

Thank you for your comments, Pat. My fox is nowhere near the beauty that yours are but it was my first wild fox. I don't mind Zoo shots...but finding one that is "free" to roam is special. I was glad that it stopped long enough for me to get the shot from the car. I find that animals are less disturbed by machines than human presence...probably for good Br'er rabbit can attest to. :)

Thank you very much Pat for the detailed comment. I think I needed to more clearly explain what I was wanting for the rating of the image. I didn't actually mean a vote, but a rating in your comment. I'm assuming that because you liked it, you normally would have voted higher than a 5. Your vote actually makes it look like you didn't like the image. Poorly explained on my part. Sorry.

Thank you very much pat, your comments are great and you're helping me learn! I agree with your suggestion about more space around the chin it's the one thing that really bothers me about this should. It would have be interesting to turn it vertical, yet at the time I didn't know how to do that and at the same time capture some of what was happening in the b-g (elderly people in wheelchairs).

Going off the snaplist s probably the best way to go once you've got yourself established given the volume of daily posts. But, how does one discover the new Pat Sampson who is brand new to the site? When your image will only last minutes on the first pages it is only by shear luck that they will get noticed. Brighter minds than mine will need to figure that one out if the site is to be successful and not a repeat of other sites.

Pat, thanks for the glowing feedback on Purity. Coming from you that means alot. Funny though, Purity was sitting on the first page and getting favourable reaction, not alot of attention, but it was early and then someone gave a 6 rating and it slid to image number 200+. Go figure. If you hadn't had me on your snaplist you probably would have never seen it.
