Very beautiful scene...excellent photo Pamela. .....he seems to know that you are respecting his space. the looks of it ...he seems a little concern...great it...amazing shot. ...!
@pamelabole replied: Thanks Michel! I was really trying not to "spook" him. I think he was more concerned about where my dog was ( safely put in the house, but was barking some) than where I was. I actually spoke once....and he seemed to relax. Maybe I am the "Deer Whispherer" hahaha!!! Thanks for always looking and your kind comments!!!

Another great moment, Pamela. You took advantage of the photo op but not of the deer. Well captured.
@pamelabole replied: Thanks Ken for looking and your kind words!! I always try and respect nature....the creatures were there first, I am just a visitor! : )

This young mule deer was sitting not too far from our cabin. I was slowly approaching and watching his body language ...because I didn't want to disturb him and make him feel threatened. He watched me approach, but showed no real fear. He allowed me to get pretty close. I think I could have come even closer, but I wanted to give him his space. He allowed me to take quite a few photos. And then watched me walk away. Cool moment.

Thanks for looking!!
