Earlier this year I entered the British Wildlife Photography Awards. Although I wasn't a winner my image was one of 300 out of the several thousands of entries. I didn't relise at the time but the competition was open to professional photographers too, including that well known wildlife photographer Andy Rouse. My image was to be printed in a book and I have just received it and what a beautiful book it is too.

It just goes to show that you don't have to go to the ends of the earth to get good images, this shot was taken in my back garden of a Blue Tit just after it had left the nest.

I'm really pleased!!!
