Marvelous image, Rob! We have a marsh like water basin close to the home and we have had female, Red Wings, at the feeder and on the deck but no males-yet.

A sure sign of spring is the return of the Red-winged Blackbirds to the marsh. The males vigorously defend their territories as they sing to the females hoping to attract their attention.
