We awoke before daylight while on holidays and immediately saw a Doe and her likely one year old fawn.

VERSION 1 is a capture using flash of the pair just below us. I was able to stand outside in a screened deck to observe. Mom heard me but only turned to locate the noise. Her daughter left to explore.

In the Original: we observed the fawn start to climb the hill beside our condo so I went outside to the front corner. When the fawn reached the area shown, she immediately looked my way. Of a number of shots taken only one or two were worth keeping as she bolted.

VERSION 2: NOW WHERE DID SHE GO? This is Mom looking up the hill for her child.
