Wow!! He definitely has some major battle scars!! ........ I guess he is showing you his best side(left) for the camera in the majority of your captures! Lol!! Wonderful captures Jenny!!! : )
@pamelabole replied: So, he is a bear with a major attitude!!!!.....I guess his battle scars prove that! : 0
@Jennybear replied: This is a bear we stayed away from. These were taken at almost full zoon then cropped. He roared at us in Ver 1. Thanks Pamela.

Battle Worn But Ready. Three fantastic images, Jenny. Great angles for each of this well beaten bear. A male I am guessing. Nicely done on all.
@Jennybear replied: Yes a male for sure. He obviously does not back down.... Thanks so much Ken.

Obviously this is a male and he has seen more than his share of fights. The scar is huge across his hump and amazing this it did not get infected. They survive so many bites, rips and slashes... Yesterday you had a beautiful golden grizzly... today you have what goes on during mating season... or fighting with females when trying to eat her cubs. Mom is always smaller, but much more vicious defending her cubs...
