I love the history about the name Pansy, did not know that thank you.

@loricanton Honestly, thank you for the comment and advise, Lori. The original shot had too much light on the white petals and my attempt to adjust wasn't right. Indoor shot at a home show with no natural light or flash. Thank you.

I love the composition of this photo, but compared to the one next to it it is lacking pop. i dont know if its the internet but, if you put alitlle vibrance or brightness, it would really make the colors pop.

@Lynne101 Ah, bless you for that, Lynne. Yes you caught the reference immediately. Thanks for the visit and comments.

Oh dear Pansy ... You look so lovely and gay to me. Oh right, another name that has become associated with negative comments about other humans. We know that you will always sway gently in the breeze and always have a "happy" smile to share with the world..... :-)

Great close-up love the colors

Ken Burrows

Hello, my name is Pansy. The real Pansy. My name has origins from England at a time when parents named their children after beautiful flowers like me.

For some reason, without consultation, my name became associated with negative comments about other humans.

For goodness sake, I am a flower.

My name is never used anymore, and that saddens me. Maybe the world will become a beautiful place, like me, and I can be me again.
