@pamelabole Thank you Pamela, for the visit and comments. Regarding the Canadian location: it is easy to say it is in my back yard! This Conservation area and lake is about a 5 minute car ride from my home. In the summer, we cycle around from home on an 11 km trail that circles the lake. 3 bridges and one end connects islands to the mainland and the other end, bridges travel through marsh areas to to connect the trail. A complete, year round area. Trail use is for free.
Check, if you wish, Choose Island Lake Conservation. There are a few photos there.
@pamelabole replied: Thanks Ken.....I will check it looks like a beautiful place to live and visit!!! : )

@JadeCarbone @TimDuffus Thank you Jade and Tim, for the visit and great comments. Today, this will not look like this as there has been a decent snowfall and it will look like winter!!!

@Jennybear Thanks Jenny. This same location, last October had little water and lots of tree stumps. It refilled.

My lake is sold as heck... some water on the surface that keeps freezing overnite. I do not think we will be hit with a lot of snow... You may be. Ken, this is a great representation of the area where you live.

Ken Burrows

At the local conservation lake there remains a bit of ice in some hidden spots but otherwise open water is clear. No boating yet, which irritates me, as they fear people falling in and getting hypothermia. Oh well.

Lots of birds arriving on spring migration.
