@PhilipGraham replied: Hi Ken, thanks as always for your comment. Yes, it was a sublime morning, and just in time - as the wind whipped up, the people descended - this is the start of a week long May holiday in Japan, called Golden Week, so getting up before the crowds is a definite must!

This was taken this morning at Lake Motosu (Motosuko in Japanese), one of the Fuji Five Lakes.

Was down just in time to get the lake's surface still - about 15 minutes after this the wind whipped up and the effect was ruined. Always pays to get up early!
