(@KENBURROWS Hi Ken. There are still some old growth trees left in The Khutzeymateen. Sitka Spruce in abundance, but lots of cedar as well. I so appreciate your descriptive comment.

(@pamelabole There was a light rain when I took this shot which is often the weather in the Khutzeymateen. It helps define the fur. I can feel her strength. Thanks so much Pam.

She is definitely "on the look-out" and alert! Wonderful your POV, the clarity of her eyes and all of the details in the coat!!

she sure looks 'on guard' attentive to the surroundings. Great details and capture Jenny

This capture actually depicts this as natural, Jenny. That nose is open wide for scents. Great capture and beautiful old growth logs. Maybe red cedars.

(@PicArtIS Hi Dennis.... She was above us... about 35 feet I would guess. Thanks for the visit even if you did not rate the shot...
@PicArtIS replied: That's pretty close! Brave!

Another great shot, Jenny! How far were you facing her?

(@ramonachiassongmailcom Thanks so much Ramona. She has a regal look about her, but also tense. Mating season is such a bad time of year for Moms and Cubs...

Mom has found a great lookout to check the area for danger. Her two cubs are behind her. Even though we were just below her, she ignored us as non-threatening. Only a few weeks and I will be back there in The Khutzeymateen. :)
