My sister in law was showing this same flower yesterday and I have never heard or seen it before. It's certainly a unique flower, nicely done Jenny!

Two wonderful captures of the flower and its colour. Well done. I have seen this before but did check on Wildflowers of Ontario. Go to Red or Pink flowers. You show 5 petals in the capture so check the section. I am only guessing this is a Pitcher Plant. Go with what you think you remember.

Some friends took me too a spot some miles away to photograph lady's slippers. Unfortunately we were early and only a few, very few were in bloom. I did come across this flower (two shots) and I do not know what it is. If anyone knows... please let me know. Thanks... Jenny
