The Buttonbush is found in wet areas where the roots are submerged for at least the early part of the growing season or often year round. Ducks, especially Mallards, love the fruit. Muskrats feed on the twigs, leaves and bark. Butterflies love the rich supply of nectar around July. They are in flower now and I shot this one a couple of days ago. Hope you enjoy it!
