Interesting, informative capture of this island and the cursed Cormorants. You missed the part about how they will clean out fish rapidly. I have been to a park along Eastern Ontario along the St. Lawrence and there is an island 3 times this size completely destroyed.

Double Crested Cormorants on Ship Island, Lake Couchiching, Ontario, the vegetation was mostly destroyed by the bird's droppings which contained DDT from the fish they ate. Today, the pestiside DDT, is used very, very little, and fortunately the lake is now clean.
