My last posts have all been from one flowerbed of late season Asters. In total there were 5 different butterflies and moths identified quickly and we gave up trying to count bees!

This is a moth and like the Painted Lady Moth, is coloured very much like a Monarch butterfly in order to be safe from predetory birds.

Again, as in the previous post, what appears to be something blurring the wings of the moth is actually transparent small wings and a grey/brown body.
