On a little walk across the road from Olmsted Point, a lone glacial erratic, precariously balanced yet also seeming to know it's "spot", is found facing west towards Half Dome and Tenaya Canyon.

I have come to know of this particular erratic as "Steve's Rock", named for Steve Harper by his photography students.
