Very nice shot, John.
Love the way the Eagle is naturally framed by the branches of the tree.

Cheers, Harry

Most people assume this photo was taken up north, but surprise, it was taken in Arkansas. I found out that many bald eagles migrate to Arkansas for the winter and some even live here year round. (Sound like some retirees I know.)

There's one particular place in Arkansas where a LOT of eagles winter - Berryville, AR. Never heard of it; don't be embarrassed. It does have a McDonalds and a WalMart, but not much else. The eagles were so thick in the some areas, I lost count. I saw over 50 flying around one field and it's not abnormal to see 4 or 5 in a tree. There's a local photographer that I have to thank for giving me some locations. His name is Andy Favors. His website is www.andyfavors.com and he has some amazing photos of eagles among other things.

I look forward to going back every winter.
