Was extremely fortunate this year to be with my friends and colleagues at the Aperture Academy in Alaska.

This year took us to the Raptor Center in Sitka, where they were generous enough to pull out a Snowy Owl, Bald Eagle, and a Northern Saw-whet Owl. There are very accommodating to us photographers as well, placing them with less distracting backgrounds to allow our students to photograph them in a more "natural" looking environment.

This Snowy Owl was hit by a car, and suffered severe damage to its humerus, sadly it will never see the wild again.
