Valley View was our last stop after three superb days shooting in an absolutely saturated Yosemite Valley. We made a last ditch effort to catch sunset at Valley View before heading back to the Bay. Waiting for the light was an exercise in patience as the numerous crisscrossing stubborn vapor trails finally vaporized. Our patience paid off as we noticed a previously thin layer revealed by the setting sun with the granite ramparts reflecting the fading magenta hues. As the bloated Merced rushed by, I managed to grab a few exposures. At first I thought I would work with a 5 exposure HDR, but I realized after downloading I had a single exposure that had everything I think I needed.
