I like the simplicity here Jean. Getting that nice afterglow on the sand is just gorgeous!
@JeanDayPhoto replied: Thanks Willie, it's probably the best time shooting the dunes for me. I love the soft light.

Really nice. Looking forward to checking out these dunes myself in a couple of weeks. See you then.
@JeanDayPhoto replied: @DayneReast ! I'm going to see you in Death Valley! Woot! We're going to have a blast...and hopefully not sand blasted! ;)

Beautiful curves and lines Jean, hard to believe there is the tuft of grass amongst all this sand, well done!

Gorgeous image..like the pastel lavender toning..beautiful exposure to capture this pristine landscape..like the way you positioned that 'hard to believe' growth of brush to add that contrasting touch of tone and texture..

One of the things I really like about shooting the sand dunes is when it becomes so dark you can barely see what you're doing. At the same time I love playing with the white balance as it picks up the colors of the late evening light. Pinks, blues, purples, and then it's just fun getting artistic when processing. This is one of those shots where I enjoyed getting creative with the light.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time for a look!
