Beautiful landscape Jared - well-deserved spotlight. I think you're right about our overuse of certain words - awesome in particular has become part of the common vernacular it seems...

I really like how the rows of trees draw you into the image. This along with the amazingly awesome light and clouds, make this one beauty of a shot. Great work and narrative Jared.

I fully share your opinion about comments, Jared, but in this site cerains words hvave become a standard...now if you do not say at least the words "awesome" or "amazing" it looks like you do not appreciate the shot...;o)
Anyway this is a very awesome and amazing picture ! Very weel done.

First of all, your image is truly awesome. Having said that, I must agree with you that we have a bad habit of over using words such as awesome and amazing. We just need to expand our vocabulary or invent some new words! Anyway, very nice work!

Sometimes I feel like we tend to overstate a lot when explaining or describing things to people. I was listening to Lous CK a while back and he was doing a bit about people using the words "awesome" or "amazing" to describe a sandwich. His point was that by the time you actually have something in your life that inspires awe, you'll have wasted the word on a sandwich, and will have no words left with enough meaning to describe your wedding day or your first born child for example. That being said, this sunset in Napa back in November of 2010, maybe have been the most beautiful I've experienced as a photographer or otherwise, and it sure as hell was awesome. I hope you enjoy, and cheers.
