When the new-moon rolls around I always try to make it a mission to capture the night sky, but sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. The first night out to Mt. Hood didn't go as planned; I hiked up to TDH Ridge to setup and take photos of the sky only to be bombarded with rolling clouds. It would clear out for about 20 seconds at a time not giving a chance to get a clear exposure. I went back out there last night and was able to bring back a few images. Here's one from up at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area, the Milky Way shining bright over Bruno.
