Claire, I've tried my best at photos like this one, you succeeded where I could not...lol. Nice stop action on the bee and the bloom adds a lot of color. Well done!
@ClaireBall replied: Thanks Jim :D

That is a wonderful capture, Claire. I think that might be a bumble bee of some sort. Well done.
@ClaireBall replied: I have* no idea (LOL) about bees....
@ClaireBall replied: Thank you Laura....I am no idea about bees or such like LOL, This is a city bee in my back garden and they seem to have pollen baskets or bee bread as it is called sometimes stuck to their hind legs. The first time I saw it I thought it was a tumour LOL but read up and it builds up on their legs and they take back to the hive for the other bees....The country bees are much bigger and fatter and I've not seen pollen baskets but I would presume they would have :)

Great shot Claire, they are tough to capture!
@ClaireBall replied: Thank you Rob...they sure are fast little things buzzing from one flower to the next! Some I saw in the countryside were gorging themselves on a tree with long drooping flowers (can't think of the name) but they were much fatter than this one in the city and easier to capture but the photos did not turn out too well as it was a very very dull day

Has been a little while...I noticed recently the bees between the city and country greatly differ in size. City bees are much smaller
