Nice shot. Often when they are roosting like this they are exposing their wings to the ultra-violet light of the sun to help kill bacteria they may pick up from feeding on carrion.

The Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura) AKA as the Buzzard. Every year on March 15 since 1957, the city of Hinckley Ohio has awaited the return of the buzzards to Ohio.

The vulture receives legal protection under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.
