SUPERB IMAGE Jenny , as always you do great justice in your images to the those amazing bears. Yes there is a camera club in Smiths Falls check them out on facebook and I do believe they are Smiths Falls Camera Club when searching. Hope that was helpful!!!

Terrific capture Jenny..... I have noticed that some of these bears are lighter coloured and wonder if it has anything to do with there habitat.........the bears in the interior are dark and the bear in open fields seem lighter..... it could be the sun bleaching the fur ?
Just a thought.
@Jennybear replied: Hello Mark: I asked Laura Sample about that and she told me that grizzlies just come in different colours. I like the idea of this being a 'bleached' bear though ! This is the same area where I also photographed Mom grizzly who was much darker.
(@Marthe) marthe said:April 29th, 2014 (4:41am) PDT

Love it!!! Amazing capture nice of him to "strike a pose" for you. Wonderful soft color and amazing capture of both the fur and the such a great texture like feel. A fav for me! : )
@Jennybear replied: Thank you so much Pamela. He certainly stood still. It was raining in this shot making the fur wet. I think that is why it shows so much detail.

Wow... what a pose!...Hey little Grizzly ...a little smile for the photographers ...he must have seen a makeup artist before this well groomed and clean....ha!ha!ha!...hello Jenny, beautiful photo and capture of this youngster....amazing colors ....excellent photography....a favorite of mine... :) take care...
@Jennybear replied: Hello Buddy Michel: Again your comments make my day. Thanks for the fav! I should have mentioned that it was raining and I believe that is why his fur is so detailed (certainly not fluffy !) Have a wonderful week.

Looks like the d600 did a fantastic job on this shot, Jenny. I am trying hard to learn my new d610 so hopefully I can catch him this June as well.
@Jennybear replied: Hi Laura: Yes, he will be a year older and hopefully still beautiful ! You will see him before me !! I wonder if those two, two and a half year old cubs will be around. It is getting close.....thanks so much.
(@andrewbrixey15)  said:April 28th, 2014 (11:57am) PDT
Wonderful shot...wish I lived closer but not to be. The nearest thing akin to a bear, where I live, is a sheep...a very large one of course...%u263A
@Jennybear replied: It could be a bear in sheep's clothing !!!! Thanks Andrew, and yes we are a major distance apart. Your home is an area that I have wanted to visit for years.

This is a beautiful golden colour. The position is that of supreme concentration and you capture it so well. That is a massive muzzle.
@Jennybear replied: This bear was the only grizzly I saw that was this colour, both here and the Great Bear. Thanks so much Ken.

The young male grizzly stayed in this position for at least five minutes. He did not eat or move. He was concentrating on something and it was not us in the Zodiac. I am going back in June and so looking forward to it. I find it interesting that some grizzlies are almost black and this fellow is a beautiful golden brown.
