Nice capture Claire! It must be that time of year. I just posted a similar type image. :^)
@ClaireBall replied: Thanks Jan, it sure seems to be although since posting I've the young starlings now coming on their own for food - they catch on quickly don't they :)

I ADORE THIS IMAGE! Very nice timing, interest and techs Claire! This is a photo that captivates me! So well done!
@ClaireBall replied: Thanks Jim - I have one aspect I don't like and that's the haze on the young starlings eye but it was fascinating watching them just wait for food ....even when it fell in front of them, they waited for momma to pick it up and feed them hah!

Really, how true. I was cutting the grass yesterday and this robin was in front of me. He kept hopping along not flying away. Then he flew a few feet only. Obviously very young, but full sized. Interesting shot.
@ClaireBall replied: Thanks Jenny, hope you are keeping well! It is funny how some seem well able to go and others not so much, I have a young little bird, a great tit I think (same markings as an adult just much smaller) that comes to one feeder - swoops in gets its nut and whooshes off again :)

Finally I get round to posting again....hope everyone is well!

Babies are plentiful at the moment and it seems some of them are as big if not bigger than their parents......yet moms are frantically rushing around scrambling to get food for these babies who sit and scream! :)
